New caption labels saving
I am frequently writing reports in Word and I normally insert captions for my
figures, tables etc. I often add new caption labels, for instance "photo". The problem is that when I have added a new label in a document, the label is not available the next time I open the same document. The problem appeared when my software was changed from Office 2000 to Office 2003. Before I did not have this problem. It does not help to save the added label in a template - it is not available when I create a new document based on the template. If I open the template the new label is there, so in some way it is saved. This is incredibly frustrating. The next time I am editing the document and want to add a "photo" caption, I have to create a new label again. The problem is even worse if I want to insert a cross-reference to an old "photo" caption. If the caption lable "photo" has not been created at that particular occasion, it is not in the list to choose from as cross-reference either. Then I have to first create a new caption lable, insert a caption that I do not need and then insert the cross-reference. Incredibly annoying! Does anyone know why this happens? How do I save the new caption lable in the same way as it was saved in Office 2003? |
