Version of Word?

Can you be more specific by what you mean with "updated"? Like, whenever
it saves? Or whenever you use File/Save As? Or something else?

Would this be for all documents? Certain documents created from a common
template? A selection of documents that otherwise have nothing else in
common? If the last, how many?

Will your environment let you use macros (VBA)? And do you have any
prior experience using VBA?
