In Microst Word XP, How can I change a sentence which is in all capitals to
one that is in upper and lower case without having to retype it all?

Format | Change case: Sentence case. You'll still need to go through and cap
the proper nouns.

you can use shortcuts as described above or you can play with change case
settings.
