We are experiencing a problem to activate inactive add-ins in Word 2007. An
error message stating that the add-in is invalid occurs when trying to
activate the add-in.

Are the add-ins in question compatible with Office 2007? Not all old add-ins
will be.

What version of Windows are you using?

Have you installed Service Pack 1 for Office 2007?

What is the Add-in you're having issues with?

Are the Trusted locations and Trust center settings (and Windows permissions) the same on computers where this works and where it is
not)?
