Default How can I create automatic numbering in Word 2003

Is there an easy way to create auto numbering in Word 2003. Would I create a
macro?. I would like to generate sequence number in a form I have created in
Word 2003, I would like the number to be created only when form is saved so
if the form is cancelled the form number is not used.

Thanks,

See http://word.mvps.org/faqs/MacrosVBA/NumberDocs.htm. You probably have to
adjust the macro a bit to get exactly what you want, and the best place to
get assistance with that would be a programming newsgroup such as
microsoft.public.word.vba.general.
