Default Forms Forum for Forms Problem

I know that when you get no replies to a post, it's usually because you are
posting to the wrong Forum, so, my question is, whch is the best Forum to
use for questions about the use of Word's Forms? In case someone knows the
answer to my Forms question, I'll list it here also.
Thanks in advance for any assistance.

I am inserting a numeric form field into a Word 6 document. The field is
formatted as numeric, 10 characters, number format "0". Then I protect the
form and store it as a template. However, any time I produce a document
based on the template, it allows me to place up to 10 text or numeric
characters into the field. What am I doing wrong. Any help would be
appreciated.

See the article "How to validate the contents of a formfield in a Word form"

Well doug, I truly appreciate any help that I get. I know that I would do it
for anyone I could help. So, thank you in advance. However, I'm not a
programmer, although I am computer knowledgeable. I can't resort to writing
visual basic macros to validate a simple think like a number field in a
form. I was hoping for a more simple explanation. Like, "it works for me,
you must be doing something wrong," or, perhaps, "did you remember to...?.
Actually, does it work. It takes about two minutes to come up with a form
with one numeric field, format it for two places, and set the form for whole
numbers, protect the sheet, store it as a template, pull up a new form, and
see if you can input only numbers. But every time I do it, I get something
that will allow text. I was truly hoping for a simple explanation. But
thanks anyway.
