Word cant find deleted document
Win XP and Word 03.
Working on long document and window opened "save -yes/no or Cancel" came up. For some reason I chose "No" and the document dissapeared !! In W98 I new where to find them (Windows/Applications/Microsoft etc). What is the process in XP ? (it is not in the recycle folder) many thanks Tom |

I get the impression that the document had never been saved, so there is
nothing for Word (or Windows) to find. Current version provides an 'Automatically create backup' feature, but even if it is on it only creates/updates a backup when you save. There is also an AutoRecovery feature, but that only protects you if the program/system fails while you are working. Also, the Recycle Bin doesn't come in to play unless you actually _delete_ an existing (already saved) file. Regrets |:) "Tomc308" wrote: Win XP and Word 03.
