Default multiple data sources and data form

I was wondering if a word document is capable of having two separate text
files as data sources.

I'm exporting 2 text files from an application that we would then like to
use for mail merge into a single document.

Thanks.

No, Word can only use a single, flat-file as the datasource. If you can
export the data to Access, you can create a query to combine the information
into a single datasource, provided there is a field that you can use the
link the relevant records from each source.
