Default Formatting of copied table rows -- Part II

I asked the following question yesterday:

- - - - -
When I copy rows of certain table into the same table, the formatting of the
multi-celled row that I paste is messed up -- it does not look like the
original row.

Does anyone know why now why the formatting is changing in these copied rows?
- - - - -

....and then was asked to provide more information: :-)

I'm using Word 2003, and by "messed up," I mean the columns don't line up
evenly with the row above or below it, and sometimes the very top row expands
out farther than the rest of the table. There's no smooth transition when
copying rows.

Thank you.

The thread was buried pretty far down. I'll do as suggested though.

Thanks.
