Default Different Font sizes for footnote references

I need to set the font size for footnote number reference numbers one size IN
THE BODY of my text and for the footnote number references in the footnote
section I need another font size. But, evertime I try to do one, the other
is affected exactly. I cannot change one without affecting another. How do
I do this in Word 2000?

Thanks

There is only a single Footnote Reference style, so there is no way to
change the style for references without affecting all of them. I'm afraid
you'll have to make the font change in the reference numbers manually.
