autocorrect entries
I have a user that says she continually loses autocorrect entries and has to
re-enter them. What conditions could cause this? Also, can the normal.dot and ms acl file just be copied periodically to ensure there are backups of her entries in case they get lost again? Any other suggestions with protecting autocorrect entries? Seems to be pretty mysterious how these are stored. Thank You -- Thanks, Albert |

autocorrect entries
Formatted autocorrect entries are stored in normal.dot. Unformatted entries
are stored in ACL files. I can almost guarantee that the problem will be the former and a failure to save normal.dot. A common (but not sole) cause for this is installation of an early version of Acrobat 7 - http://www.gmayor.com/lose_that_adob...at_toolbar.htm. I take it that you don't wipe out normal.dot on user log-in? -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org albert wrote: I have a user that says she continually loses autocorrect entries and has to re-enter them.
