Document size explodes after Track Changes
I have a book coming out in a few months and am going through files with the
copy editor. Problem is that a file after 'track changes' 9emailed to me) is coming in so large as to freeze Word - this is happening in Word 2000 for Windows and Word 2004 for Mac. For instance a chapter with 25k words is coming in with a count of 340K words. Fast saves, versions, etc. are switched off. I am at a loss to understand the increase, but now a solution is more urgent. |
