Default Merged E-Mail Message Won't Send

I have Office 2002. After successfully bringing in email addresses from an
Excel column and setting up the merge with the Wizard, I go to final step:
Merge to E-Mail. Using HTML does absolutely nothing. If I choose Plain
Text, first I get:
A program's trying to access email addresses you have stored in Outlook. Do
you want to allow this? When I say yes, I am told feature is unsupported.
How do I get program to send my mass email?

More specifically, I get message: "Word could not load the e-mail envelope.
This could be caused by a network connection problem or a problem with your
office installation."

What version of Outlook do you have? If you have Outlook 2003, you will not
be able to do this with Word 2002.

Hope this helps.
