Can I make filename and path autotext update itself in templates?
I am trying to update our Microsoft Word templates so that every time we use
them to create a new file, there will be a self updating filename and path in the footer. I have gotten as far as inserting the autotext for filename and path into the templates, but when a use the templates for creating a new ..doc, the filename and path does not change. Any help on this is much appreciated! Thanks! Nic |

See http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=832897 "The FILENAME field
does not automatically update when you open a document in Word 2002 or Word 2003". nic wrote: I am trying to update our Microsoft Word templates so that every time we use them to create a new file, there will be a self updating filename and path in the footer.
