Default trying to scan document to word says i need ocr software?

i'm trying to scan a document to word but it keeps telling me i need ocr
software from a cd?

Check if the CD that came with your scanner includes OCR software.

If you are trying to scan as editable text, then it is probably correct.
Office comes with Microsoft Office Document Imaging, (OCR) though it is not
installed by default.
