Any remedy for this (I'm saving to the hard disk, of course)?

Yeah, there's a remedy, but so far you haven't provided anywhere near enough
detail for us to begin to analyse your problem. Which file? All files? Which folder? All folders? Logged in user? Version of Word? Version of Windows? Service packs applied to each? File sharing mode enabled? The error indicates that the logged-on user does not have permission to write to or replace one of the files involved in the transaction.
