Default Setting Default Zoom Level in Word

I've set the zoom level in my normal.dot to 75%, but new document templates
still always open at 100%. If I open normal.dot directly, the view, margins,
etc., are all exactly what want. I just can't figure out why the zoom level
still won't cooperate! Anyone have any suggestions??

Pam

Thanks for the response, but I already found this reference in another
thread. I've done exactly what your article suggested and the problem still
exists.

In that case, you may require a macro to set the zoom to the desired
preference.

Thanks for the suggestion. For some bizarre reason, when I launched Word to
try out your suggestion, the normal.dot template opened at the right zoom
size. I did try closing and restarting Word after I altered my normal.dot
template and it still didn't work. I guess I need to learn to stop
questioning these little miracles and just be glad they happen . . .
