remove odbc/ database link from word doc.
my friend fwd a word doc. when i go to open it, window pops up saying:
-Opening this document will run following SQL command: -SELECT *FROM c:\#data/ms-templates\office.doc -Data from your database will be placed in document. do you want to continue? -yes or no my word should not be linked to anything. how can i get rid of this ODBC link? have windows xp, running office 2003. |

hey doug,
thanks for you help, but that did not solve the problem. i found out if you just cut and past into a blank doc, and save, word no longer tries to pull info from a database on the new saved file. just delete the old one, prob solved. also, making those changes to the registry did cause weird probs with my comp. i had to system restore. Hi, Why not try Advanced Word Repair at http://www.datanumen.com/awr/ ? It recovers several important Word documents for me and is really helpful! Alan |
