How do youinsert the filename within a header?
In older versions of Word, one of the options within the header was to insert
the filename. I used this frequently in order to keep up with different versions of the same basic document. I have not been able to locate this feature in the new version. Does it still exist and where is it hidden? |

How do youinsert the filename within a header?
On the Insert Tab, locate the Text Group - Click the Quick Parts
Command. Select Field. Find FileName in the field list. You can also checkmark on whether you want the path included. Once you have the FileName in your Header like you want it, then you can select all the text in the Header and ALT+F3 and add it to the Header Gallery. Then in the future, you can pull it out of your Header Gallery. -- Dawn Crosier Microsoft MVP "Education Lasts a Lifetime" This message is posted to a newsgroup.
