Default How do I keep the formatting when pasting from Excel to Word as a.

I am trying to copy a group of cells that are formatted with black background
and colored text from Excel into Word as a picture (i.e. "Paste Special" +
"Picture"), however when pasted the text doesn't show up but the background
color does. How do I fix this?
