Create a Custom Toolbar for Word 2003
Hi All,
I tried to create a custom toolbar in Word 2003 but I can not seem to get Word to show me the toolbar that I created. I use Windows XP. I tried the following: I made sure that my chosen commands for my customized toolbar are saved in Normal in the Open Dialog box. I was told that to make changes or create a custom toolbar for Word 2003, I need to open the €śNormal€ť Word Document Template which is located in the folder (Docs & Settings/Tim (my name)/Microsoft/Templates) & I tried creating my customized tool bar from this word document. When I tried to save my custom toolbar changes with the document name as €śNormal€ť & the type as €śDocument Template€ť, Word would not let me. I installed Stamps.com software in my computer & it shows up as a toolbar in Word. I would like to know how to get rid of this toolbar because I do not want to see it. I tried right-handclicking & uncheck this toolbar but it still shows up the next time I open Word. Please let me know what I am doing wrong. Please reply your answer to here as well as to the e-mail address if possible. |

Create a Custom Toolbar for Word 2003
If you open normal.dot for editing (which is unnecessary) then you cannot
use saveas to save it with the name normal! Create the toolbar and its commands and save normal.dot when Word is closed. - see http://www.gmayor.com/installing_macro.htm -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org Xiud wrote: Hi All, I tried to create a custom toolbar in Word 2003 but I can not seem to get Word to show me the toolbar that I created.
