Default Word 2007 Macros Disappearing

Hi
I have a Word 2007 document (.docx) running on a 32 bit Vista machine using
MS Office Home and Student 2007. This document contains several macros and
works fine.

When I copy this file to another machine running a 64 bit Vista using MS
Office Enterprise 2007 and open the document, the macros are gone
(View/Macros).

Both machines have identical Trust Centre settings of enable all macros and
trust access to VBA project object model.

Can anyone tell me how to fix this?
Thanks
Keith

Are you sure you saved the Macros in the document and not to the Normal.docm?

If you really did save the document as a .docx, that's when the macros
disappeared. To keep macros in the document, you must save it as a
"macro-enabled Word 2007 (*.docm)" file. This distinction is new in Word 2007.

Is this also the case when you start a new document from a macro enabled template (*.dotm)? We have *.dotm files that include macros and are able to save those successfully as *.docx documents without losing the macros. But now we have problems with a couple of docs where the macros have disappeared. These files are created using Word 2007, but then updated in Word 2010. Does Word 2010 work differently compared to Word 2007 in this respect?
