how to sort items in a WORD folder,alpha-wise?
using XP with Word Office. MS evidently does not consider sorting files
within a folder alphabetically. Can it be done? |

I assume you're talking about in the File - Open window (for example)? If
so, right click in the list of displayed files and choose Arrange Icons By - Name. Does that do what you want? (Or, if you're using the Details view, just click the Name header at the top of the list of file names; a triangle pointing up means it's alphabetically sorted; pointing down means that it's reverse sorted.) -- Herb Tyson MS MVP Please respond in the newsgroups so everyone can follow along.
