Default Word and Microsoft Sharepoint Server

I have a list on Sharepoint server WSS2.0 and I wish to use this list as a
mail merge data source for a document created in Word 2003.
Would appreciate a response to help enable me do this ASAP.

Unfortunately, this isn't possible. Word's mail merge feature hasn't been
updated significantly since 2002, when OLE DB was added as a connection
method. It can still link only to local or traditional network file
locations.
