Can I place a checkbox in a header? I am using Word 2003.

It rather depends what you have in mind. You cannot put a form field check
box in a header, but if you want to put a checked box character in a header
you can do that, provided you are willing to open the header in order to

Default Checkbox in header

I'm guessing that you are referring to a *clickable* check box, such as a
check box form field? If so, it cannot be inside the header (or footer), but
you can place it in a frame and position the frame so that it appears to be
in the header.
