I have a booklet that has files and word document created by several authors.
I'd like to automatically generate consecutive page numbers. Can that be done?

Once you've combined all the documents in one, just add page numbers to the
file, and they will be consecutive automatically. How you insert the page
number will depend on your Word version, which you haven't stated.

I apologize if I wasn't clear. I have both excel files and word documents
that make up this booklet and they are all authored by different people.
I want consecutive page numbers on the final product without having to
manually put them on.
Any ideas?

For that you would need something like MS Binder, which no longer exists.
But if you can import the Excel files into Word along with the Word
documents, then you can certainly apply consecutive numbering to the entire
Word document.

Up through at least Office 2003, I believe if you still have Binder
installed from a previous version you can still use it, but there is nothing
comparable in current versions.
