Default How do I keep strikethrough from being automatic?

Each time I start Microsoft word the text is autmatically has the box for
strikethrough checked-creating strikethrough text. How do I keep the text
from autmatically being strikethrough without it reappearing each time I
start word 2003?

Choose Format - Font. In Effects, remove the check next to Strikethrough,
then click the Default button at the bottom left of the Font dialog.

In Word, click on Format | Font | Font tab | uncheck the
"Strikethrough" box | Default | OK. If you are prompted to save
changes to your Normal.dot global template when you close Word,
say yes.
