Default Email not sent in HTML format

During Mail Merge operation, Merge to Email function, if I choose HTML as my
Mail format, no emails are sent. Using Plain text or Attachment does not
give that problem. I am using Word 2002, Outlook 2002, Service Pack 3. Is
there some settings on Word or Outlook which affects this?
Can anyone please help me out on this?

Thanks,
Priya

Hi,

I am having this same problem with Outlook 2003. I don't understand why the
option is even offered if this is not supported.

Have you found a solution to this yet? It's driving me crazy trying to
figure it out.

Outlook will happily send html e-mails (if you must) but it will not send
html merged e-mails (other than as attachments). This is no big deal, most
people (especially business users) will have their mail readers set to read
only plain text, no matter what you send them, so they will not see the html
formatting. Use plain text, or if you must send a formatted document send a
PDF attachment.
