Date
If I start to type todays date, Word automatically brings up the date, and
asks me to press enter to accept. If I accept, then tomorrow/or next week.. when I bring up the document, it gives me tomorrows date/or next week's date, not the date I created the document. How do I prevent this from happening? |

Use a custom template with a CreateDate field in it. You can change the
fields in your current documents to that by clicking on the date and pressing Shift-F9. Change Date or Time to CreateDate and press F9 to update the field. See http://addbalance.com/word/datefields1.htm for information on the different kinds of datefields and how to format them. -- Charles Kenyon Word New User FAQ & Web Directory: http://addbalance.com/word Intermediate User's Guide to Microsoft Word (supplemented version of Microsoft's Legal Users' Guide) http://addbalance.com/usersguide See also the MVP FAQ: http://www.mvps.org/word which is awesome! --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- This message is posted to a newsgroup.
