Hi ?B?Ymh1dmFuYQ==?=,

shortcut key assigned for a macro to appear in the drop down menu to avoid
remembering them.

Use the ShortcutText property. From Word's VBA Help files:

"Returns or sets the shortcut key text displayed next to a button control
when the button appears on a menu, submenu, or shortcut menu. Read/write
String.

MsgBox (CommandBars("Worksheet Menu Bar"). _
Controls("File").Controls("New...).ShortcutText)"
