Default Arabic text - how to turn off?

Word 2003 on 2000

Recently, when I was on leave, someone used my machine and ever since I seem
to have Arabic and other unusual fonts appearing in the settings of Word.
For example: Format, Font, the preview box shows the correct font on the
left and Arabic on the right.
I have checked the Tools, Options, Complex Scripts settings but I am
obviously missing someting obvious.
Can someone please indicate where I should got to turn this annoyance off,
permanently.

Many thanks
DeanH
