Multi vs. Single Column Formatting Problem
Problem:
Whenever word is opened, the new "blank document" is set for multi-columns format. We tried changing format to single column and saving the file as "blank document" template, but that not work. Then we tried changing the format to single column and saving the file as "word.doc," but that did not work either. How do we correct this? BTW- it's running on XP Professional |

Multi vs. Single Column Formatting Problem
Locate and open your normal.dot file as described in Method 1 in
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/...ocNotBlank.htm . Click on Format | Columns | One | Apply to: Whole document | OK. Type a character or two and delete what you just typed. Save the normal.dot file and close it. Earl wrote: Problem: Whenever word is opened, the new "blank document" is set for multi-columns format.
