Strange HTML Codes Appearing in Documents
I'm currently using Word 2010 and Windows 7. Recently, I've noticed that when I update my *.doc files and convert them to *.html and upload them to my website, strange HTML codes are appearing in both the *doc file AND the *.html file. For example, wherever I have inserted a tab in my document, a "" appears instead of the intended blank space or tab! This can be one "" or several of them, as shown above. I have also noticed that in the HTML coding of the document, a "lang=FR" or "mso-ansi-language:FR'" appears. Will someone please explain why this is happening? I've been converting these *doc files to *html files using the "Save as Web Page *htm, *html" option. Bill |
