Styles & Formatting
Can somebody tell me how to keep the same formatting.
I did have it but for some reason I cannot keep the same settings twice in a row. I like to have Clear formatting; Headings 1, 2, & 3 ; Normal; & whatever bullets I am using at the time, that is all I need. I have tried custom but it will not stay, as soon as I open a blank document it goes to default and the fonts change size & type. I hate changing the headings always and the normal font too! Thanks for any help B |

Open your template for editing - presumably normal.dot - and format the
styles you use in the way you want them to appear. Save the template and thereafter all new documents based on that template will appear the way you have set them. -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org Me2Ewe wrote: Can somebody tell me how to keep the same formatting. It is a hidden file (in recent versions) stored in the folder defined at
tools options file locations user templates. Steer to that folder and open it. Note that word.general is an orphan group and not hosted by Microsoft.. -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org Me2Ewe wrote: Okay here's a good one how do you access normal.dot the easiest way B "Graham Mayor" wrote in message ...
