I have a 41 page word document that on page 32 the footer disapears and then
shows up again on page 38. HELP..

Presumably the document contains section breaks? Make sure the footer in
each section is set to "Same as Previous." If you have multi-column sections
in the middle of a page, you'll need to insert temporary page breaks to
access the footers for those sections.
