Default My MS Word has changed to strikeover mode

While typing a document, somehow my MS word has switched to strikeover mode.
I need to type normally to get anything done. How do I switch it back????

If you mean that existing characters are being replaced by new
characters that you type, press the Insert key once to switch from
Overtype mode to Insert mode.
