When I send resumes, the contents shows on one page on my computer. However,
when the receiving end opens the document they see it on two. How do I lock
in the formatting so it doesn't display differently on other computers?

Use a common font, like Arial or Times New Roman that will be on all
computers, or create a PDF.

Using a common font can help, but won't guarantee the received display when
using Word. That's because it's printer dependent, the most notable
differences often occurring when contrasting results printed on InkJet
printers versus laser printers.

The only guarantee is to use something that's platform- and printer-neutral,
such as PDF files.
