Word 2003 merging in Works 7.0 databases
Hello,
I have a client who likes to merge a works database into word. I am told that the process was once easy, but now whenever we select the works database to merge, the text encoding window appears with a lot of non - text characters. Is there no works database filter/converter? I thought that there may have been one working prior but now damaged or turned off. Using Works DB to save-as to a csv mucks up the field headers. Any ideas? Thank You |

Word has never been able to merge Works databases, other than by the bug
laden Works add-in for Word (which was included with the Works suite - with Word 2002). The only way to do this is to export the data from Works to a Word compatible format such as dbf. -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org jonh wrote: Hello, I have a client who likes to merge a works database into word.
