Setting word to format the whole word without marking the whole wo
An example:
When I used to use Word before I only had to have the marker inside a word, press ctrl+b, and then the whole word was bold. Now this does not work. Where is the setting for this? /J |

It will work if you enable "When selecting, automatically select entire
word" on the Edit tab of Tools | Options, but this makes it much more difficult to make changes to text, so I find it easier just to double-click the word to select it before formatting. Like you, however, I miss the former behavior. Publisher is smarter: it has separate options for "When selecting, automatically select entire word" and "When formatting, automatically select entire word." -- Suzanne S.
