installing Office 2003
Hi L,
Norton Antivirus 2007 has a different options display from prior versions. There are a couple of ways to get to the 'Miscellaneous' settings to turn off the Office Plug-in. Here's one: 1. In the Windows System tray click on the Norton 2007 Protection Center status icon and switch to the 'Norton Antivirus' tab. 2. In Norton Antivirus 2007, a. Scroll down below the 'Email and Messaging' choice to 'Additional Options' b. Select the 'Virus andSpyware Protection Options'. 3. When that dialog comes up choose from the 'Advanced Options' settings, the 'Miscellaneous category will be a link on the left side of the screen. Choose that option. 4. Once in the 'Miscellaneous' dialog uncheck the choice for the Office Plug-in, that is named, in this version: [x] Turn on scanning for Microsoft Office documents' ================= "L." wrote in message ... When I open the Options at the top, my only choices a Norton Protection Center and Norton AntiVirus. I went through everything and can't find anything that says Miscellaneous or Office Plug-in. -- Bob Buckland ?:-) MS Office System Products MVP *Courtesy is not expensive and can pay big dividends* |
