How do I share building blocks with other users?
We do sales proposals that have to construct a proposal using multiple
"boilerplate" components. I can see that the building blocks functionality in 2007 could be quite useful to create a cover page, header/footers and boilerplate text etc. However it is no use unless I can get everyone (3-4 people) using the same set of building blocks to construct the sales proposal. Is it possible to share building blocks, gallaries etc across multiple users? Thanks Rachel |

No they arent. If I create a building block, it's saved in my personal quickparts. If I save the document either as a straight word document or as a word template and someone else opens it, they cannot insert the quickpart - it is not in the building block organiser list. Good suggestion though - I hadnt thought to look before. "Suzanne S. Barnhill" wrote: Aren't these saved in templates? -- Suzanne S. Hi Rachel,
Quickparts/Building Blocks/Document Parts can be stored in Word templates. In Windows XP those normally available to you would be in c:\Document and Settings\{Your user ID}\Application Data\Microsoft in the 'Document Building Blocks' folder. You may want to try creating a Document Building Blocks folder under C:\Document and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft. and place the template there but name it something other than 'Building Blocks.dotx' You may also need to use the Word trust center to make that a trusted folder location. =========== "Rachel M" wrote in message ... Electric smokers are an excellent choice for those who want a hassle-free smoking experience. Unlike traditional smokers, electric smokers don't require any special fuel or constant monitoring. Instead, they use electricity to heat up the wood chips and maintain a consistent temperature, making smoking a lot easier and more convenient. perfect electric smokers
