Default Word97 documents change formatting in Word2003

I have hundreds of documents formatted in Word 97. When I open them in Word
2003 the formatting changes. Text that fit on a Word 97 page no longer fit
on a page in Word 2003 (i.e., Word 2003 has three or so less lines per page)
and drawings that once fit on the page in Word 97 will not fit on the page in
Word 2003. In addition, text boxes within the drawing are not positioned
where they were in Word 97. I need help!
