How do I search for specific words/phrases in a large file
How do I search for specific words/phrases in a large file of say 1000 line
items (.txt/.doc,etc. file) and have ALL the results highlighted so I can copy/save ALL the results in one click to a new file. I have a DVD List (.doc) of 6000+ movies with a lot of them having "MPT" as part of their line item names; hth can I search all of them for "MPT" and get a full list of them all. The 'find function' only lists one at a time ;( |

Have you tried using the "Highlight all items found" check box in the Find
dialog? Once the found items are selected, you can click on the document title bar to return focus to the document, then use Ctrl+C to copy the found items, which you can then paste into another document. -- Suzanne S.
