I'm working in Word XP on a Windows XP SP2 box and each time I launch Word
and exit, it adds about 5Kb to the normal.dot. I set the options to prompt to
save normal and when I exit, I'm prompted that changes have occurred. I click
NO to not save the changes, but the normal jumps in size by 5Kb anyway! I
rebuilt the normal from scratch and still have this problem. The only thing
that seems to work is to make the file read-only. But then I have to click
through many windows just to exit Word. Any idea how to keep this from
happening? Thanks!
