Default how do I mail merge data from excel as formated

I have a very large spreadsheet I am trying to merge into a word document.
When I merge, all of my dollar amount come up with no $ sign, no thousand
separater, and either no ending zeros, or more than 2 decimal places. I am
not sure what to do. I am in a real time bind, if anyone can help.
thanks,
Lulu

See http://tips.pjmsn.me.uk/t0003.htm , but you probably only need to follow
the instructions for the DDE option.
