Check boxes
You want the tick to be red and the box to be black? With a formfield
checkbox, which has an "x" rather than a tick, you cannot do this. However, there are a number of ways to create and use clickable checkboxes in documents / templates. Some require protected or locked forms, others do not. Take a look at the Checkbox template available at http://www.addbalance.com/word/downl...#CheckboxAddIn for an exploration of these. To get the effect you want, you would need to create your own graphic and use it with the macrobutton field method shown in the Add-In. -- Charles Kenyon Word New User FAQ & Web Directory: http://addbalance.com/word Intermediate User's Guide to Microsoft Word (supplemented version of Microsoft's Legal Users' Guide) http://addbalance.com/usersguide See also the MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/ which is awesome! --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- This message is posted to a newsgroup. Check boxes
I used the control box in word to create a template for my staff. It lists
different task and when doing the quote I just tick them. After setting the page up I simply saved it as a word template. Does this mean iI am stuck with the black tick? It's just that it would be easier for my staff to read. "Charles Kenyon" wrote: You want the tick to be red and the box to be black? Check boxes
You are stuck with what you are stuck on.
You can change the type of checkbox to one where you can have a red tick if you want. But it won't be from the controls toolbox and you will have to create your own graphic of the box with the red tick mark in it. -- Charles Kenyon Word New User FAQ & Web Directory: http://addbalance.com/word Intermediate User's Guide to Microsoft Word (supplemented version of Microsoft's Legal Users' Guide) http://addbalance.com/usersguide See also the MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/ which is awesome!
