Default Indents change when restart numbering on bullets (Word 2007)

How do I get Word to stop changing the indents on my bulleted lists when I
restart the numbering? So far, the only way I know to fix this is to manually
move the indent back, because when I re-apply the style, the indent jumps to
the left. I've had this problem in Word 2003 as well.

Have you defined the indent as part of the numbering rather than part of the
paragraph formatting?

I don't see where I can adjust the indent in the Bullets/numbering menu. I
have it defined in the Paragraph menu, but when I set the bullet/number, Word
either changes my settings in that menu, or it changes the indent, even if it
doesn't indicate a change in my Paragraph menu settings.

Are you using a specific bulleted style for these paragraphs? Find some
information in http://sbarnhill.mvps.org/WordFAQs/N...gnment2007.htm
