I've been fiddling with my Table of Tables and Table of Figures styles. Now
I have corrupted them to extent that Word 2002 can't find my Tables and Figures to put them into the front of the document. I think I need to know something about the "levels" too. Can someone help please? |

Hi Sharon
If you created the Table of Tables and Table of Figures using Insert Reference Index and Tables Table of Figures tab, then Word uses the Table of Figures style. To get it back to its default state, do Tools Templates and Add-ins. Click the Organizer button. Make sure you're looking at the right document, and delete the style. Since it's a built-in style, Word won't actually delete it, but will re-set it to its default state. Then re-generate the Table of Figures. If the problem is that Word can't create the ToF, then try deleting any existing ToF and use Insert Reference Index and Tables to create a new one. If that doesn't work, then there must be something wrong with your captions. Try re-inserting one, and see if that helps. Hope this helps. Shauna Kelly.
