Macro buttons not appearing.
We have a global template created & macro buttons attached to the template.
The macro buttons won't appear for a couple of users? We've gone to Tools, Customize, Options and changed the settings to "always show full menus", but still doesn't work. Any suggestions? The macro buttons are to turn on and off protection on a form document to allow spell checking. |

See http://addbalance.com/word/movetotemplate.htm. I am assuming you mean
toolbar buttons rather than macrobuttons. (Macrobuttons are fields that can call macros.) A toolbar button needs to be on a toolbar. I usually put mine on custom toolbars rather than the built-in ones, at least when building them, because custom toolbars can be easily copied while customizations to the built-in ones cannot. Is the toolbar on which the buttons reside being displayed? Some Add-Ins interfere with the display of toolbars from other global templates. You may need an AutoExec macro in your template to force display of your toolbars. -- Charles Kenyon Word New User FAQ & Web Directory: http://addbalance.com/word Intermediate User's Guide to Microsoft Word (supplemented version of Microsoft's Legal Users' Guide) http://addbalance.com/usersguide See also the MVP FAQ: http://www.mvps.org/word which is awesome! --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- This message is posted to a newsgroup. Charles, actually it is a macro residing on a toolbar. It is set to protect a
form, then the second one created is set to run spell check. "Charles Kenyon" wrote: See http://addbalance.com/word/movetotemplate.htm.
