Default Save a Word Doc to enter details without page changing

I have created a word document that is used as a contract, I need to be able
to enter client details. Every time I type in details the data moves on the
page.
How do I save the document so that I can enter client details without the
data entered will not move.

I don't know how you have your document set up, but you could use form
fields and place them in a table to control how text is placed on the form.

Are you inserting text in the middle of a paragraph, or are the entries at
tab stops or are they placed one per line?
